Role of UNITOFMEASUREISOTOSAP in the scenario After transferring an item to SRM the UoM is checked and converted in UNITOFMEASUREISOTOSAP.

The path to reach this FM is: METHOD ADDITEMSFROMCATALOG - FM BBPWSIMPORTSCDATA - FORM CREATESCITEMDATA - FORM CONVERTUNITTOSAP - FM UNITOFMEASUREISOTOSAP From the FMs point of view, it gets ISO Code (which is UoM sent from catalog) as input parameter and returns SAP Unit of measure to the program or an exception.

Here in UNITOFMEASUREISOTOSAP the table T006 is checked if the sent UOM with ISO code exists.

If it does not exists than an exception is thrown which leads to Unit of Measure XX sent from catalog is not an ISO Code and Incomplete items in catalog.

In this example picture the UoM sent from catalog is DZN, which is stored in variable ISOCODE and handed over to FM UNITOFMEASUREISOTOSAP.

Here the records of T006 table where isocode is found has been selected.

This records msehi attribute is handed over as sapcode value, which will be displayed in Shopping Cart as Unit of Measure of the item.

In this case ISOCODE is not found in table T006, because of wrong customizing settings, so the error Unit of Measure DNZ sent from catalog is not an ISO Code.

Lets analyze what customizing settings can lead to this kind of error.

Customizing settings Lets check the above mentioned example (DNZ sent from Catalog as UoM and it leads to error) from the customizing point of view.

The most common case is when someone wants to send an UoM from Catalog that is not an ISO code is that heshe sets ISO code in transaction CUNI, but nothing else.

The T006 table data are stored based on UoM settings which you can maintain in CUNI Unit of measurement.

As in our example the ISO code for DZN was not in maintained in the system previously, we created this correctly, but forgot to assign it to a concrete UoM.

If we use our new ISO Code DZN instead of DZ than the content of the T006 table will be the following: After these settings the FM UNITOFMEASUREISOTOSAP would trigger ISO code DZN and could identify MSEHI attributes DZ value, which will be sent to Shopping Cart as Unit of Measure.

No error message will be raised when returning from Catalog into SRM.
